(Department of State) · Designed and implemented the MPLS architecture and
encryption design now used nationally throughout the state department. This
included designing a WAN topology with redundancy and bandwidth in mind.
Cisco ASAs were used for dual HUB encryption. This design was replicated for
the national and remote sites of the state department. This provides IPsec
tunnel redundancy, in the event of HUB failure. A dynamic routing protocol
(OSPF) also replaced the static configuration. This was accomplished by using
a GRE over IPSEC topology. · Redesigned the State department building to implement a
high availability design using VSS. Redundancy, network stability, and 10g
land bandwidth were achieved. · Supported UNGA (United Nations General Assembly) by
setting up network communications between NYC and SA-20. The Project included
setting up multiple Bonded T1 connections with redundant Cisco routers back
to the Department of State. Furthermore, Juniper encryptors were configured
and placed in line with the routers to encrypt all traffic leaving the UNGA
site. In addition the project also entailed technical support and setting up
laptops and printers including multiple VTC units for communications. · Assisted with the installation of a Cisco wireless network
in support of the Asian Pacific Economic Conference. The project included the
installation of 10 PoE switches, 36 Access points and redundant wireless
controllers. The wireless infrastructure supported over 500 users during the
duration of the conference. EDUCATION/TRAINING DeVry
